The special honor of being called Wise comes from age and life well lived. Someone who has collected story upon story and words of wisdom from others. One who isn't afraid to say, "I don't know" as well as able to say, "I know." We should love to be in ear-shot of their voice and count it a blessing.
We are not all there YET. It is a journey that we are on together and we should long to be wise. To listen as well as teach.
This piece of Haitian sea glass is very old. It comes from the line of Coke bottles that were tinted this beautiful green/blue. I have read that some of these colored pieces could be 100 years old. Time gone past... that is what I see when I look at this kind of glass.
This piece of glass is perfect in respect to sea glass collectors. It is 1 3/4 inches long, opaque in color, soft all around with detail still visable. It was obviously part of the very bottom of the Coke bottle. In regards to decorating the rest of the necklace I could only place a pair of African Turquoise beads that mimiced the color of the glass. Nothing else needed to make it beautiful nor take away its natural beauty. Nothing. It hangs perfectly from a thin, simple brass ring. It is the centerpiece.
Necklace is almost 40 inches of soft genuine brown leather and is finished off with a hand-stamped, oxidized copper EGW tag that dangles from a rope jump ring.
Simple and Wise.
